Overview of Grading and Staging of Prostate Cancer
After prostate cancer is diagnosed, doctors will determine the tumor grade and tumor stage. The tumor grade is a measure of the aggressiveness of each tumor and the tumor stage is its location in the body. The videos will help each patient understand the Gleason scoring system for tumor grade and the TNM system of staging the disease and why it is important for managing your disease. The most commonly used staging tests are also reviewed individually including which patients should have them.
